The City of Fort Worth is conducting this project to provide additional connectivity, improve mobility, foster
economic opportunities, and enhance safety for residents, the traveling public, freight haulers, and pedestrians
utilizing W Everman Parkway.
The project kicked off in May 2024 with the design and pre-construction phase. Two community open houses will be held in June 2024 and Winter 2024. The design phase will be completed in Spring 2025. Construction will begin in Winter 2024 and is expected to be substantially completed by 2026. This schedule is subject to change. More information will be provided at the next community open house.
This project will include shared-use paths to ensure safe and convenient access for all users. Additionally, the
project will incorporate crosswalks, pedestrian signals, and other safety features at key intersections to enhance safety and usability for both bicyclists and pedestrians.
The Everman Parkway project team is currently evaluating options to minimize impacts to the environment and wildlife where practicable. More information about potential environmental impacts will be provided at the next community open house.
One of the project's goals is to provide additional connectivity and improve mobility, which can support the growth of existing businesses and attract new ones. The proposed roadway improvements could also reduce travel times and improve access.
Access may be temporarily re-routed during certain phases of construction. More details about construction
impacts will be provided at the next community open house.
Funding for design and construction of the Everman Parkway project includes funds from the 2021 Tarrant County bond program and City of Fort Worth funds for an estimated total project cost of $42 million.
