The City of Fort Worth is conducting this project to improve mobility, foster economic opportunities, and enhance safety for residents, the traveling public, freight haulers, and pedestrians utilizing W Everman Parkway. This project aims to provide additional connectivity between Chisholm Trail Parkway and I-35.
The project kicked off in May 2024 with the design and pre-construction phase. Two community open houses have been held, one in June 2024 and one in March 2025. The design and pre-construction phase is anticipated to be completed in summer 2025. Construction is planned to begin in summer 2025 and is expected to be completed by summer 2027. This schedule is subject to change.
This project will include continuous 10-foot-wide sidewalks on each side of the travel lanes to ensure safe and convenient access for all users. Additionally, the project will incorporate crosswalks, pedestrian signals, and other safety features at key intersections to enhance the overall safety and usability for both bicyclists and pedestrians.
The design and construction of the Everman Parkway Extension project includes funding from the 2021 Tarrant County bond program and funds from the City of Fort Worth.

During construction, access to homes and businesses may be temporarily affected due to lane closures, restricted entry points, or short-term blockages. While some delays or detours may be necessary, we are committed to minimizing impacts to the extent possible.
Our construction team will provide notifications in advance of any planned road closures or significant access restrictions. Additionally, visible signage and detour route maps will be provided to guide residents, business owners, and other road users through the area. If you have specific concerns about access to your home or business during construction, we encourage you to reach out to the project team via email or the project hotline.
The project extends Everman Parkway from Rosedale Springs Lane to Cameron Hill Point. The proposed design for construction includes two lanes in each direction, continuous 10-foot sidewalks, a roundabout intersection at the future Hemphill Street extension and a crossing of Sycamore Creek. Additionally, proposed improvements include a bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR).
Construction is anticipated to begin summer 2025, following preconstruction activities in spring 2025, which will include clearing the project site of vegetation (i.e. trees, shrubs, brush, and grass) and removing debris. Construction is expected to be completed by summer 2027. The timeline is an estimate and may be subject to change.
Construction will involve the operation of machinery and vehicles, which may generate significant noise. To minimize disruptions, much of the construction work will take place during daytime hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. However, alternate work hours or night work may be utilized when necessary to accelerate project completion. The project team will notify the public in advance if night work is required.
To minimize the impact of airborne dust and soil particles, the project team will water down exposed soil and dusty areas within the construction zone in an effort to suppress dust and prevent it from becoming airborne.
Utility service disconnection is not anticipated during construction. To maintain service, a bypass method will be used during sewer and sanitary line relocations. The project team will immediately notify the public in the event of a service disruption.
